Frequently Asked Questions - F.A.Q
1. When I attach the Smartmouse USB, the COM-port gets a higher number than my 3rd party software supports. How do I change the COMx number?
2. My Smartmouse USB came with a CD, and I have installed all the software on the CD, but the Infinity USB and Funprogrammer software doesn't work?

1. [Q] When I attach the Smartmouse USB, the COM-port gets a higher number than my 3rd party software supports. How do I change the COMx number?

[A] Open the Windows Device Manager (Right click My Computer->Properties->Hardware->Device Manger, (On XP) Similar on other Windows versions).

Find the 'Ports (COM & LPT)' and expand this level. Find your 'Smartmouse USB serial port (ComX)'. Right click->Properties->Port Settings->Advanced and then change the Com port number to 3 (or whatever low number may be available). Make sure the port is not taken already. Click OK to save.

2. [Q] My Smartmouse USB came with a CD, and I have installed all the software on the CD, but the Infinity USB and Funprogrammer software doesn't work?

[A] The CD included with Infinity USB, Infinity USB Phoenix, Funprogrammer USB and Smartmouse USB contains software for all 4 products. You only need to install the Smartmouse USB software. The software makes it possible to setup the Smartmouse USB hardware (frequency and resetpolarity), and the software for Funprogrammer USB and Infinity USB can't be used with Smartmouse USB.
